October 2011 – Extreme Acoustic Testing
AMA carried out an on site assessment of the curtain wall glazing system proposed on the World Trade Centre Tower currently under construction in West Bay – Doha. The purpose of the testing is to determine the on-site acoustic performance of the proposed curtrain wall system and subsequent predition, based on submitted manufacturer noise levels, of internal noise levels resulting from cooling tower(s) operation.
Unfortunately the glazing type that required assessment could not be installed on ground level where access would simplify the testing procedure.
Instead, the glazing system that required assessment was on level 9 of the tower….

Extreme Acoustic Testing…not for the faint hearted!
